Meet Elle Pohlman

It all started with Christmas at age 8, when I found a tiny electric guitar under the over sized pine tree in my living room. From that point on my emotions towards this instrument, that I called Norman, were all over the place. From age 8 until age 13, I went through my protesting practice phase. There were glimpses of excitement, but I didn’t learn to love Norman until I started creating my own music. I began writing lyrics, clumsily adding chords until it resembled a song, that felt exciting and real. Throughout the years of protest, I had many dreams that came with my hobbies. I was going to be an Olympic diver, a painter, actress, pastry chef. At one point, I went through a Grey’s Anatomy phase, and decided I was going to be a surgeon. The one thing that stayed consistent, was my love for creating music. When I hadn’t picked up Norman for days, I’d feel the need to write. In my sophomore year of high school, I auditioned for our talent show. When the night of the performance came: I stepped on stage, looked into the audience, sang my song, and knew I wanted to do this for the rest of my life. My senior year I was blessed with the opportunity to be surrounded by highly creative and talented students at Interlochen Arts Academy. Diving into a place where I knew absolutely no one, has taught me so much about myself, and my art. Throughout this year, not only have I been working diligently to learn and grow as an artist I have been working on my first album. It’s titled Sea Salt Kisses, and will be released May 31st. I have a plan, that could go off course. I have goals, those could change with time. I know what I want to achieve in this moment, and I am taking the steps I need to take to make what I love doing stay in my life. Thank you for joining me on my journey, and for supporting me. I hope my music resonates feelings in you that bring you to a time or place that you have once been or someday wish to be! xoxo, Elle
